A famous bottle opener? Well, might be a bit of a stretch, but our regulars know this bad boy! Here's the story:
Greg "The Mayor" Meredith has been a fixture at the Princeton for 45 years. Greg started in 1972 as a barback and worked his way through Villanova (Class of "78") as a bartender. He stayed on at the Princeton after graduation eventually becoming bar manager. In 1986, when the Zurawskis bought the Princeton, "The Mayor" came along with the building and since he is still here we can only assume he is never leaving. Anyone and Everyone who has been to the Princeton or the Circle Tavern in the last 45 years knows "Mayor" and has probably done at least one impression of him. His distinctive voice, goofy laugh and over the top conspiracy theories, make him a staff and customer favorite. This bottle opener was designed by the barbacks to honor (and mess around with) their boss and everyone's favorite bartender!
